Benches at Reverend T. Wendell Foster Park were painted by students from 12 different Bronx public schools to speak out and express a wide array of current issues.
The messages were focused on gun violence, mental health, women’s rights, racism, and more. This was coordinated by C.E.I Benchmarks, an art organization that inspires NYC public school students to speak out on major issues they care about.
The painted benches will be on display until September 15th.
