Storm Watch Meteorologist Allan Nosoff says the feels-like
temperatures will be cold Wednesday and Thursday morning – in the 30s. 

MONDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few showers in the morning (4-9
a.m.), then a few showers (isolated downpour) possible in the evening (5-10
p.m.). Not a washout. Highs near 66. Lows down to 45.

TUESDAY: Few morning clouds give way to a sunny
and windy afternoon. Highs only near 54. Wind gusts could exceed 30 mph. Lows
down to 40.

WEDNESDAY: Cold start with feels-like temps in
the 30s, then plenty of sun and breezy. Highs up to 53. Lows around 39.

LATE WEEK: Warming back up to highs in the 60s
by Friday. Mostly sunny and less windy.

NEXT WEEKEND: Sunny and warm, the top of the temperature
rollercoaster with highs nearing 70.

Take it, you know, today, I'm calling it for a good ish day now because you're not going to be seeing the wet weather and notice our silver lining here, 60 degrees. That's nice and very warm, big departure for December 2nd. And uh we are noticing the trend also heading into the pre dawn hours into tomorrow. Now by tomorrow afternoon, you'll definitely need those umbrellas, a lighter jacket alert for sure. Today, what to wear looks like that um, umbrella for tomorrow's soggy on and off showers all day and heading into dinner time. That's when things really start to improve. But a seasonal return once again, specifically Wednesday into Thursday, as we walk you through our future cast, the clouds are here and they will continue to stay with us thickening and also gradually building to more shower activity heading into overnight at first light, but then we have these rounds of rain. So, you know, not everyone gets to see them and experience them all at once, but their heavier pockets also embedded as early as eight and seven o'clock in the morning. You'll notice Brooklyn, you kinda see that, especially when we're talking about heading towards the afternoon time frame. So after 12 o'clock, that's when we can start to notice a bit more of those moderate heavier pockets, the contours of the deeper um, greens, as well as oranges and yellows. We're gonna need those umbrellas handy all day tomorrow. So be mindful of that accessory by four o'clock, things really lighten up and the showers seem like they kind of exit. But, you know, we are left with the clouds still at bay. So it's kind of a bit more of a damp start heading into Monday. Nice, beautiful clearing and the sunshine is back into play as we start off the next week. Now, as far as rain total, it looks like this. So three quarters of an inch close to an inch for some spots, very localized. I'm not very concerned about localized flooding. Uh but because it seems to be such kind of like nuisance rain, it's just gonna be a rainy day and that's something to just be mindful about. By Tuesday, Wednesday, we get back into the forties and as we start off Hanukkah on Thursday, we are expecting drier conditions and high temperatures into the forties. Much more like December.

Mostly cloudy, some rain to start the workweek in New York City

Well, let's get another check of our weather. Let's bring in storm team meteorologist Alan, no, alan of course we know that today was surely a treat. But what are we gonna be expecting as we start the work week Because as you've been telling us all day, we're gonna have to pull out that bubble jacket. Yeah, exactly. So I don't think it's gonna be a treat unless you're a fan of winter weather. Then the next few days we can wait to be out there in the snow, let's just gradually get there. Yeah, yeah, luckily we have no snow in the forecast, although snow will make its closest approach towards pennsylvania by midweek. I'll explain why just a sec, but we have morning showers between about four and nine a.m. Then we have evening showers anywhere between five and 10 p.m. Best chance towards the end of the evening, around 7 to 8 PM. Higher chances of some heavier rain to the south and east of the Bronx Areas like Fordham over the throgs neck Union ports as well as Wakefield could see just a few scattered passing showers. It will make the roads wet a little bit slippery out there. So make sure you pay extra close attention out on about on the roadways for the the evening commute. Then heading towards 10 o'clock, there's that last bit of the cold front as it finally slides to the east and then we're left with a clear and cold night, the winds will start to pick up late and into early Tuesday the winds will stay with us into Tuesday afternoon and again, it's because it's a strong cold front. You can see it pretty much drawn up and down the East Coast sixties to the east. That's why we've enjoyed a warm and lovely weekend highs in the four days off to the west. While not that cold will tap into some of that cold heading into money the evening, there's the Coltrane and as that slides through cold and windy conditions gusts easily 20 to 30 MPH high temperatures struggling to be in the fifties and then heading into Wednesday morning. Yeah, at the bus stop where the train stop out towards morrisania 40 degrees, but that feels like temperature 35 degrees. Soundview throgs neck same idea about 35 degrees for the feels like temperature Wednesday and thursday morning, but a quick recovery to near 70 by sunday.
