The SUNY policy requiring students who are learning in-person to get a COVID-19 shot to attend classes is officially activated following the FDA's full approval of the Pfizer vaccine.
This is according to SUNY Chancellor Jim Malatras on Twitter.
As News 12 has reported, the vaccination mandate for SUNY and CUNY students was announced by Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration back in May.
Malatras had previously said the vaccine mandate for students would be ready to go once the shot received full FDA approval.
