Supportive senior housing project breaks ground in Highbridge

Tuesday marked day one of a project in Highbridge that will serve as homes for over 100 Bronx seniors.
Fischer Senior Apartments, which is going to serve as supportive housing, is set to open in August of 2025. It will provide 105 affordable homes for seniors, including over 50 homes for previously homeless seniors.  
Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and several elected officials came together to celebrate the groundbreaking.
The new development will feature over 4,000 square feet of amenity space as well for seniors to socialize and stay active.
