A spree of burglaries is leaving small business owners across the city on edge.

Police say the group of thieves, dubbed "The Midnight Smashers," by United Bodgeas of America (UBA) is suspected of targeting at least 49 locations, including ones in Brooklyn and the Bronx.

UBA says they are now offering a $5,000 reward for tips leading to the arrest of suspects.

"We want to know if anyone knows who these guys are, where they're unloading these machines, where they are taking these machines apart," said Fernando Mateo.

UBA called on the NYPD and city officials to address what they say is an up tick in crimes targeting small business owners.

News 12 did reach out to the mayor's office for a comment and is awaiting response.

The NYPD says no arrests have been made and encourage anyone with information to call their Crime Stoppers Tipline at 800-577-TIPS.
