Taxi driver robbed at knifepoint by passenger in Norwood

The robber took $500 and a debit card from the driver’s wallet.

A taxi driver was robbed at knifepoint by his passenger in Norwood.
Police say that on Sept. 14, just before midnight in front of Montefiore Moses Campus on East 210th Street, a woman hailed a taxi. When she got inside, she displayed a knife and demanded the wallet of the 44-year-old driver. The driver complied and the robber took $500 and a debit card from the wallet.
Then, she got out of the taxi and escaped on Bainbridge Avenue. The taxi driver was not injured.
