Tenants of a Hunts Point building say they're worried about their safety after security cuts led to an apparent rise in robberies and attacks.
The woman says she was near the fourth floor of 975 Simpson St. around 10:30 a.m. Monday when a man grabbed her hair.
She says she broke free and called 911. A few weeks ago, she says her son was robbed at gunpoint.
Tenants say crime has increased in the building after security guards stopped patrolling the halls.
The building's management did not immediately respond to a News 12 request for comment.
