Many tenants at the Butler Houses say they have been living uncomfortably for years because of an unwanted guest.
For five years, a homeless man who is referred to as "Blue" has been living in the lobby of 1428 Webster Ave.
Tenants say that along with sleeping in the building every night, Blue walks around with his shoes off and urinates in the stairwells. They also say they have complained repeatedly to NYCHA and numerous city agencies over the years, but nothing has been done.
A source from NYCHA told News 12 that Blue has been removed from the building by police and taken to a homeless shelter multiple times.
The Department of Homeless Services says its outreach teams do not enter buildings to offer services. A spokesperson says that if they encounter Blue on the street, they will offer him some help.
