Anyone tired of flowers and chocolates had the option to share their love this Valentine's Day through a different New York staple - a heart-shaped bagel.
The Bagel Store in Park Slope has been around for more than two decades and is probably best known for its rainbow bagels. But for Valentine's DAY, it's all about heart-shaped bagels.
Scott Rosillo is the owner of The Bagel Store and spent hours last night making the heart-shaped bagels from scratch. In each one, you'll find hints of vanilla. The secret ingredient?
"Love. Everything is with love," says Rosillo. "There's a lot of love and care in everything I do. I don't work on quantity. I work on quality."
The Bagel Shop will offer the heart-shaped bagels until they run out. The shop is on Fifth Avenue between Prospect and Bergen streets.
