Thousands of New Yorkers gather for Coney Island fireworks
Despite the rainy weather earlier in the day, many people showed out to spend the holiday at Brooklyn's most famous beach to take in the 9:30 p.m. fireworks show.

Despite the rainy weather earlier in the day, many people spent the holiday at Brooklyn's most famous beach to take in the fireworks show.
Some people came from around the tri-state area and said they look forward to these fireworks every year.
