Thin layers of ice created dangerous conditions across the Bronx for drivers
and pedestrians after a weekend storm.
News 12’s Joanna Hernandez is in Thunderbolt 12 checking the road conditions.
Freezing temps in the teens are forcing
crews and residents to salt streets and sidewalks to try and prevent more ice
from developing.
Thick snow also layered on cars that still haven’t been cleaned seen
last week’s nor’easter.
Main roads across the borough were mostly clear, but black ice patches are
still possible.
New Yorkers are urged to take extra
time if they are traveling.
