Tropical storm Isaias tore through the Bronx, Brooklyn and tri-state area Tuesday afternoon, downing trees and causing power outages as winds pummeled the area.
A tornado watch was in effect for all of New York City through 4 p.m.
Isaias was downgraded back to a tropical storm after making landfall as a hurricane over the Carolinas. As of 5 a.m., it was making its way toward Virginia. Isaias was first a hurricane, then a tropical storm, then a hurricane and now back to a tropical storm.
Residents are now picking up the pieces and assessing the damage as the storm moves out of the area.
