News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Allan Nosoff says on-and-off showers continue through the night, including wind gusts of up to 40 mph.
A rip current statement and a high surf advisory remain in effect through Sunday.
OVERNIGHT: Staying windy with 30+ mph gusts. On-and-off showers with a round of a few downpours possible between midnight and 5 a.m. Lows near 57.
SUNDAY: Scattered showers continue. A round of heavier rain and storms is possible during the late afternoon and evening as the center of Ophelia makes its closest approach. Still blustery with 20-30+ mph gusts. Highs up to 63. Lows near 59.
MONDAY: The center of Ophelia will finally move off the coast, meaning improving conditions after a few lingering morning showers. Highs near 66. Lows down to 56.
TUESDAY - FRIDAY: Not too bad. Partly cloudy and cooler thanks to an onshore wind from the northeast. Highs near 66-68. Lows around 55. Showers are expected to hold off until next weekend.
