I think it's safe to call this officially a winter wonderland. The snow won't stop. It is sticking, the roads are crystal white now. Although it is a winter wonderland. Officials here in Orange County are not too concerned about the snow just yet. There's no emergency order or anything like that. Officials say that everyone that is important, everyone that is needed to come out and is ready and available in hindsight. And then we actually, we spoke with one, a landlord who is braving the winter weather in an effort to go and make sure that his tenants are safe. Take a listen to what he has to deal with right now. A lot of walkway, a lot of making sure nobody slips. You know, there's only so much you can do at some point in time. But, um, you know, just make sure the general population is safe coming. People are coming and going are safe. But obviously, you know, you shouldn't be out and stuff like this. Yes. And he's certainly right. I don't know if the camera was on me right at this moment, but as I was talking, there's actually a massive truck that spun out of control right along here. So these roads, they are slippery, they are wet and like everyone is saying, if you could stay off of them, that is your best bet.

We're gonna toss things over towards Emily. What are you seeing outside as of right now? Hi, Julian. Yes. So we are here still in Orange County. Still in. Go in and the snow it's fickle. It's heavy at some point lighter than others. Right now. We are sort of in a lighter lull. I don't know if you can see behind me the roads, it's not sticking anymore. The roads are pretty clear. Now, we were at the DPW a little bit earlier before we saw the snow trucks loaded up ready to go. We even followed some of those snow trucks and then we, then before that, we were speaking to the emergency management offices for Orange County and we spoke with the deputy commissioner there who said they really, they're not so worried about the storm, but everyone is on stand by. And then of course, we spoke to locals residents to hear how they were getting ready to experience tonight's storm. Take a listen to what some of them had to say. We're going to get pizza, Sicilian pie. Right? Wings and we're going home. We're just gonna sit in the house all night, bunker down Yeah. And wait to shovel, wait to plow, wait to snow blow. Right. Yeah, pretty much everyone we spoke to said the exact same thing and while staying inside with pizza does sound fun. It's certainly not as much fun as me and John are having right now outside in the snow and we are going to continue hopping around through Orange County to give you the latest.

We're going to send it over to my colleague, Emily Young who's just up north of us in Orange County. Emily, what can you tell us? Thank you, Diane. Yeah, we are here in Orange County and we keep hearing that Orange is going to receive some of the worst of the storm. But so far that is definitely not the case. You can maybe see some flurries, but just like Diane said, there's few and far between it keeps starting and stopping and starting and stopping. We're here outside the office of emergency services center. We spoke with the deputy commissioner. He says he's not so concerned right now. He has the big guns on stand by. It's just a little snow. He kept saying, but he does have one major concern. Take a listen. Our biggest thing that could happen tonight is maybe a jackknife tractor trailer on uh 17 or 84 which could stop plowing, which it could really strand some people in which case we're prepared to deal with that. We have in the past, uh, you know, with the state police and uh dec you know, they bring snowmobiles down. Yeah, one thing though, working in our favor is the fact that this is a weekend and we simply don't have the sheer volume of cars out on the road. We don't have that regular commuter traffic and that's going to help us here tonight. Now, we are going to be hopping around Orange County. We're going to meet up with the DPW to find out what they're up to next. So stay tuned.
