Traffic is about to get a whole lot busier on the Bronx River Parkway due to a major construction project.
The construction plan is shutting down one lane in both directions between Gun Hill Road and Wakefield Avenue, essentially reducing the highway from three lanes to two.
The Department of Transportation says the $65 million project is set to replace the bridge carrying the Bronx River Parkway over the Metro-North railroad tracks.
