The weather is being blamed for a train derailment in Orangeburg
today.
Officials say a freight train on the River Line derailed because
of “weather-related” problems just before 7 a.m. near Western Highway.
A CSX Freight spokesman says the train was headed for Bergen, New Jersey,
and that two cars came off the tracks.
The spokesman says there were no injuries and no leaks from any
of the cars.
