The jury heard opening statements Friday from the
prosecution and defense in the case of the 2018 murder of Lesandro Junior
Guzman Feliz.
The two defendants, Diego Suero and Frederick Then, are
accused as the gang ring leaders that ordered gang members to kill rival gang
members, leading to Junior’s death.
News 12’s Carmen Grant breaks down the arguments on both
sides of the case. The trial is set to resume Tuesday morning.
