The trial of the man accused of killing the director of a Bronx homeless shelter in late April began Tuesday.
West Spruill is facing murder and kidnapping charges after he allegedly killed Ana Charle.
Prosecutors say that Spruill, who was a former resident at the shelter, forced Charle at gunpoint to drive to a secluded area back in April.
They say at some point the victim was able to run from the vehicle naked. Prosecutors say Spruill, who was also naked, chased her and shot the 35-year-old multiple times.
