Two firefighters have been hospitalized after battling a house fire in Throgs Neck on Wednesday.

The fire was reported just before 2 a.m. at 840 Dean St. More than 100 fire and EMS personnel responded.

One person with minor injuries was taken to an area hospital and another refused medical attention at the scene.

The American Red Cross said they registered two adults and one child for emergency assistance, including financial aid and temporary lodging.
