? A group that represents city firefighters says broken equipment is putting Morrisania residents at risk.
The Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) says Morrisania?s Ladder 19 has a broken ladder on a truck that needs to be repaired. The UFA claims firefighters have been unable to get down from the ladder because it gets stuck. According to the UFA, Seagrave, the company that makes and fixes the trucks, has unsuccessfully tried to repair it twice.
The FDNY says Ladder 19?s truck is safe and maintains that all trucks are thoroughly inspected.
