Union County residents may soon have access to free, life-saving medication – part of an initiative to help residents most in need.

Over 54,000 residents who fall below the national poverty line will be eligible for the program being offered through RWJBarnabas Health.

Prescriptions can be filled and picked up at Trinitas Regional Medical Center’s Early Intervention Program at 655 Livingston St. in Elizabeth. There is no word if this applies to all medications or only certain types.

Clients of this program will be screened for eligibility. For more information about the medication program, call 908-965-3756 or email RSCPUC@ucnj.org.
