‘Vax for Kids’ campaign aims to encourage younger kids to get vaccinated

Hochul says 235 vaccination sites were set up statewide over a 12-week period as part of the effort to get kids the shot.

Gov. Kathy Hochul says the state is launching a new campaign to encourage younger kids to continue to get vaccinated. 
The governor says one of the big priorities is to keep schools open. Tuesday, the governor announced the “Vax for Kids” campaign. 
The campaign encourages parents, doctors and children to push to get vaccinated. The campaign will include TV and digital media ads to get the word out, as well as 7.6 million additional tests that will be going to state schools and reminders of boosters and additional doses for immunocompromised kids.
