A vigil was held at the 49th Precinct Wednesday to support police officers.
As many rally in support of the Black Lives Matter movement, the Bronx residents in attendance wanted officers to know their dedication is appreciated.
Organizers tell News 12 that the peaceful protesting seen around the city is welcome but that when politics get in the way of policing during violent protesting, that is cause for concern for them.
Just like the Black Lives Matter protests, a diverse crowd came together for the vigil. Members from the Jewish, Muslim and Christian faiths made remarks and showed officers in the Bronx that they are supported.
