It sure feels like summer with heat, humidity and some sunshine that will fuel thunderstorms this afternoon and continue overnight. The main threat will be damaging wind gusts and flooding downpours, however hail is possible and there is a small chance for an isolated tornado. These storms eventually weaken through the night, but there will be a continuation of downpours and rain.
Before these storms blow through, you might notice and smell Canadian wildfire smoke. Air quality is expected to remain at health levels today.
Sunday: Back to fall
We'll slowly go back to the crisp fall-like weather for the second half of the weekend. There will be some rain to start the day on Sunday, but through the afternoon skies will clear and cooler weather should rush in. Temperatures should be at least 10 degrees than Saturday afternoon.
Next Week: Looks good!
The start to next week will be pleasant with a good amount of sunshine, low humidity and comfortable temperatures. So it will once again be feeling like fall around here! There is a slight chance for rain returning midweek.
