Interim FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanaugh joined Mayor Eric Adams in celebrating the efforts of FDNY members and first responders who assisted those impacted by the Sunset Park subway shooting that took place on April 12.

The incident caused 10 injuries from gunfire and many more from the chaos that ensued in Sunset Park that morning, but no lives were lost.
