A family-owned laundromat is slowly regaining the business it lost during the height of the pandemic.

Jahlour Wash & Fold Laundromat managed to adjust to new social distancing guidelines inside their small space only seven months after its grand opening.

Co-owner Daisy Alvarenga says during the pandemic, customers are getting more than just a wash and fold.

"Here you get a personalized sanitized service, whatever you want we do, we cater to you," says Alvarenga.

The laundromat was able to stay afloat because of its drop off and pick up service – despite being forced to reduce its evening hours.

"It didn't increase, but it did maintain. We're making enough to pay for everything, which for us right now, is a blessing," Alvarenga says.

Alvarenga says it was her mother's dream to open a neighborhood laundromat. She says she's proud of her mom who oversees the daily operations, providing an essential cleaning service for many families during this crisis.

The laundromat is open seven days a week.
