A woman was found dead with her throat slashed inside of a Bronx apartment Wednesday, police say.

Zoila Feliz was pronounced dead at her Stratford Avenue apartment around 12:48 a.m., according to police.

Police responded to the home and found the 22-year-old woman unconscious with her neck cut open.

Neighbors say Feliz's mother could not get into their apartment when she came home from work so she used the building's fire escape.

Once inside, neighbors say Feliz's mother discovered her daughter's body with her 2-year-old grandson just feet away. The victim's 2-year-old son was not injured, according to police.

Police did not say if the incident was a homicide.
