The zoo from Netflix's "Tiger King" documentary is closing to the public.
The Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in Oklahoma made the announcement after its federal exhibition license was suspended.
The post says the park will "for the foreseeable future be a private film set for Tiger King related TV content." Park officials also say this move was a result of targeting by animal rights groups.
USDA officials say an inspection found multiple animal welfare violations and several repeat violations. According to Deadline, the park had been closed due to the pandemic, but reopened in May.
Joseph Maldonado-Passage, known as Joe Exotic, saw his star blast off earlier this year when a multipart documentary called "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness." debuted, which featured the zoo.
Exotic is currently in jail after being found guilty in a murder-for-hire plot against animal rights activist Carole Baskin, who was also featured prominently in the documentary.
