River Park Towers deal with ongoing spotty elevator service
Tenants at River Park Towers say they are fed up with having to take the stairs with elevator service spotty over the past month.
Security guards would not let cameras into Building 20, where tenants say the issues have persisted since a fire broke out.
Tenants in the 43-story building say they have to call security, who will then send them their ride. They say they feel trapped in their apartments, including some with medical issues that prevent them from using the stairs.
The Department of Buildings say they last visited the building on Feb. 6 due to a complaint. They said one elevator was in safe working condition. The following day, owners hired three contractors to repair passenger elevators.
People in the building say they expect the elevators to work consistently and hope someone can get to the root of the problem.
