10 people injured after box truck crash in Manhattan

The NYPD says a crash left 10 people hurt, including eight pedestrians, Monday in Manhattan. Police say a 34-year-old man driving a box truck barreled into the back of a parked van that was sent ricocheting onto the sidewalk. The incident took place near the corner of 8th Ave. and West 30th St. in Chelsea at around 4 p.m. All victims are expected to survive, but one had critical injuries. No criminality is being suspected at this time.
