17-year-old boy shot and injured outside of his Midwood school

News 12 is told the school just opened on East 21st Street this school year. The school describes itself as a network of high schools for students who have “fallen off track and need a new start.”

A 17-year-old boy was shot multiple times outside of his school in Midwood on Thursday. 
The boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds in his chest and in his hand. He is in stable condition at Kings County Hospital. 
News 12 is told the boy is a student at Urban Dove Chapter. The school released a statement saying, “The Urban Dove community deplores this act of violence perpetrated by individuals outside of our school community. Urban Dove has never experienced an act of violence such as this. This incident took place in the presence of our school staff and we are grateful no one else was injured."

Police are looking for two men who they believe are behind the shooting. 
The 17-year-old is expected to make a full recovery.
