The sister of one of the Gilgo Beach murder victims says she is grateful for a break in the case which finally gave her some sort of closure.

Amber Lynn Costello's sister, Kimberly Overstreet, says she misses her sister every day.

Costello was a 27-year-old sex worker living in West Babylon when she was last seen alive in Sept. 2010. That is when police say she met Rex Heuermann who picked her up at her house.

Costello's body was found on Dec. 13, 2010 on Ocean Parkway during a search for missing person Shannan Gilbert.

How police used a revived tip to make break in Gilgo Beach murder investigation

"It brings me peace to know that my sister is laying with my family," Overstreet says. "And that if my parents were here, if my sister was here, she would say 'Thank you, and I forgive him.' I forgive him and she would too. I don't know if it makes a difference to him, but it makes a difference to me, and I can move on."

Overstreet says the arrest also gives her hope that police will be able to give the other victim's families closure at some point.
