Incumbent Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson is running against current City Council Member Rafael Salamanca.
With a focus on economic advancement, housing stability, youth violence and job security, Gibson says her goal if reelected is to continue uplifting the borough.
She says what sets her apart from her competition is her message of hope.
Rafael Salamanca Jr. has worn many hats in The Bronx, including district manager of Community Board 2 and City Council member for District 17.
If elected, Salamanca outlined a plan to address safety, housing, clean air infrastructure and green spaces.
