A woman was hit and killed by a car in Massapequa on Wednesday morning.
Svetlana Durandina, 41, of Massapequa, was crossing Merrick Road when she was struck, Nassau police say.
The incident happened around 6 a.m. near Bayview Avenue.
The victim died at the hospital, according to police.
The 27-year-old driver remained at the scene and is not facing charges at this time.
