Food, music and community filled the Andrew Freedman Home in the Bronx as Sparrow In Arms hosted a free event to support fathers and other men in the community on Father's Day.
The group honored fathers, mentors, uncles, brothers and other positive role models while also connecting attendees with local resources and support services.
Organizers say the goal was to create a welcoming space where men could feel appreciated and build stronger connections within the community.
Guests enjoyed free haircuts, food, cigars and networking opportunities throughout the afternoon.
