13h agoPolice say 31-year-old Katrell Dixon, of The Bronx, is dead after he was stabbed in the chest on 3rd Avenue at around 10:30 p.m. Monday.
The stabbing happened in front of 3322 3rd Ave. News 12 is told Dixon was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln where he died shortly after his arrival.
According to NYPD data, murders are up more than 33% in the area of the 42nd Precinct, with at least five happening this year already. This time last year there were three.
Police are looking at surveillance footage to determine exactly happened.
