A man gunned down in front of a Mott Haven pre-school nearly a month ago has died in the hospital, according to police.
They say 37-year-old Francisco Perez was shot several times on Union Avenue in front of a pre-K around 3 a.m. on March 18.
Two men can be seen on surveillance video ambushing Perez as he walks home to his apartment above the school.
Police have also released surveillance images of a maroon-colored van believed to be the getaway vehicle of the two men.
They say the van was parked on Southern Boulevard.
Perez was rushed to the hospital in critical condition at the time of the shooting.
Police say they have reclassified the shooting as a homicide, and no arrests have been made.
They say they are still investigating.
