The third annual Tunnel to Towers event was held Saturday in memory of Mathew Genovese, who died in a snowstorm in 2016.
The fundraiser will go toward charities that support veterans.
Those who know Genovese say he was passionate about building homes for wounded veterans.
"Robert and Rosanne very graciously, every year now since their son Matthew has died has done a fundraiser for the Tunnels To Towers Foundation because Mathew truly loved the veterans' causes," said Executive Vice President Mary Siller-Scullin.
Genovese's family says it plans to continue raising money to help support the courageous efforts of first responders and service members.
