The Third Avenue Business Improvement District wants people to know that shops aren't closing their doors amid coronavirus concerns.
Third Avenue Business Improvement District CEO Michael Brady is encouraging people not to shy away from stores over coronavirus fears. "We want people to be calm and relaxed," said Brady.

He says they're helping to make sure stores have more cashiers to help people get in and out of stores quicker. "We're encouraging people to shop local, take a walk, take a bike ride, go to your local bakery, your deli, your favorite bodega, your favorite furniture shop," said Brady.
 The BID did say that some businesses may not be able to restock certain products that they usually get from China.
