Four students were injured when a science experiment turned into a chemical fire at St. Catharine's Academy Wednesday, fire officials say.
The incident happened inside the school's chemistry class when fire from the experiment burned students.
The students were rushed to St. Barnaba’s Hospital with minor burns, and are being treated. At least one student suffered respiratory injuries.
A hazmat crew initially responded to the scene, but determined there were no hazardous materials involved, only fire.
Class was temporarily let out, but has since resumed.
The students injured are expected to be OK.
