Elected leaders are informing Bronx residents on their latest and greatest ideas on what can be done to improve life in the borough.
The report outlines 50 ideas from 50 different leaders on how to improve the Bronx. Those ideas feature things like affordable housing, vocational work, school programs and much more.
This list of ideas, released by the Center For an Urban Future and the Bronx Community Foundation, aims to provide a roadmap to make the Bronx stronger and more equitable.
“Two presidents have come to the Bronx and have set a narrative about this borough,” said Dr. Meisha Porter, founder and president of the Bronx Community Foundation. “We as Bronxites have the ability to change the narrative, so this is what we have to do – come up with ideas that will not only better our community but make us more equitable.”
This is the first of multiple reports that will be rolled out with policy ideas for the other four boroughs.
