Bronx officials gathered Friday at the William H. Taft High School Educational Campus in Claremont to reveal new upgrades to the school's field.
Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson teamed up with council members and school officials to present nearly $5.5 million to go toward the new facilities. Officials say the money will transform the outdoor space completely with new fencing, bleachers, a scoreboard and a batting cage.
Gibson says they hope to have the project done by the next fall school year in 2025.
