Six gang members who prosecutors say flaunted their violent acts via Facebook appeared in court Tuesday.
The members of the "Blood Hounds" gang are suspected of buying and selling guns and conspiring against rival gang members. The suspects faced a judge Tuesday with their families present. Among those arrested are a father and son duo and a trio of brothers.
Those in court are facing conspiracy, attempted gang assault, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, among other charges.
One of the gang members, Aaliyah Floyd, or "Smiles," is suspected of being the main supplier of weapons to the gang. Floyd, who did not make bail, is charged with weapons possession and other charges.
Other members of the gang are expected to be arraigned later this week.
Authorities say that while 12 members of the gang are in custody, they are still searching for one more.
Prosecutors say the "Blood Hounds" have operated in the Norwood section of the Bronx since 2013.
