For anyone who needs help finding child care, vouchers and other resources will be available across the street from the 3rd Avenue 149th subway station. For families who qualify, the vouchers can help cover the cost of child care for children as young as six weeks all the way up to 13 years old.
The voucher can be used to pay for a licensed day care or after school program. Parents can even use it for informal arrangements like through family as long as it’s approved. Workers from the Administration for Children’s Services will also be available to walk people through the process of how to apply for these vouchers or other assistance.
Parents can even pick up an application on the spot. The event will start at 9 a.m. at the corner of 3rd Avenue and East 149th Street.
