A Cinco de Mayo celebration was held in Belmont Saturday to celebrate Mexican pride and culture.
The celebration is more than just a day of partying for a group of Mexican immigrants living in Belmont.
Belmont is in fact home to a large population of Mexican immigrants, many of whom migrated from Puebla, the city home to the battle that commemorated the Mexican Army's unlikely victory over the French Empire more than 100 years ago.
Community Board 6, El Grupo Unidos along with several other community organizations helped organize the event.
Attendees could experience Mexican culture with music, games, prizes and food.
