Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. invited the borough's official handball team to his office for a victory celebration.
The team took the top spot in the United States Wall Ball Association's tournament, but it has also beaten Brooklyn's team for two years in a row.
"We came together as a team and we beat them. We went against them. That's our rivalry and we beat them, two years in a row," says player Michael Mendoza.
Team members say that it's that local pride and being a part of a group that really gives them the motivation to stick together and represent the Bronx.
