Eddie Torres was in prison in 2006. Now he owns his own barber shop in the Bronx.

Torres says he spent nearly two and a half years in prison for a conspiracy to sell firearms.

He says instead of being discouraged by his past, he decided to make something bigger out of his future.

He opened up Etrendz Barber studio in Pelham Bay last year.

Torres says he wants to encourages others in the neighborhood to lead a more straight and narrow path.
