A new birthing simulator has come to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx.
Gaumard's high-fidelity Victorian birthing simulator provides realistic simulations and helps to train OB-GYN physicians, nurses and medical students on how to deliver babies.
Officials say the simulator helps reduce errors and costs of child labor.
Currently, Jacobi has two Victoria birthing simulators in the simulation center. One is designated for postpartum hemorrhage and the other is used for shoulder dystocia and other purposes.
