News 12 visited multiple bus stops across the borough to check out the conditions after the "Blizzard of 2026."
Mayor Zohran Mamdani said the city aims to put a greater focus on city bus stops after the major impacts during January's snowstorm.
On Tuesday, the mayor said 3,366 bus stops were already cleared.
News 12 cameras captured many bus stops cleared and salted.
Some riders report the clean-up is better than last time but said the bus stops were still a major concern during their morning commute.
"It's not any better than last time. It's worse cause its slushy," said Annie, a daily bus rider.
News 12 cameras captured many sheltered bus stops clear, while unsheltered bus stops were plowed in.
"You see how the Bronx is right here; we got to climb over the snow to get on the bus," said Rodney Brown, who rides the bus from Manhattan into the Bronx.
Bus riders were seen climbing over large piles of snow and through man-made pathways to get to the bus.
"It's horrible because you've got people here with babies... we can't even get to the sidewalk. It's dangerous. You can slip and fall and hurt yourself," said
Riders said they hope the city will step up their efforts before it gets worse.
"Clean the bus stop and get everything back in order!" said Annie.
