The first heavy snowstorm of the year took its toll on Bronx business owners who were asked to close Saturday during the peak of the storm.
Business may have returned to normal by Monday on Arthur Avenue, but it was basically a ghost town during the blizzard.
However, the manager of John's Pizzeria -- which actually stayed open during the storm -- said business picked up by Saturday night.
Another owner said that while closing did hurt their business, it was the safest measure to take. Now, they say they must worry about keeping their sidewalk clear for patrons.
